Meet Dr. Eric Farmer, MD

Eric Farmer grew up in California and as a child was an athlete, competing in gymnastics through high school. After graduation he enlisted in the Marine Corps where he served overseas in Iraq.

Once he got out of the military, he pursued his education, earning his medical degree at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago. During his medical school experience he discovered the importance of primary care. This led him to rural Family Medicine training in Montana, where he was promoted to Chief Resident for his final year.

Eric is an American trained family medicine doctor, and a Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners.

For the past 8 years, he has been a GP in the Far North where he has developed a deep understanding of the medical needs of the community. His primary focus is preventative heath and improving the health span of his patients.

Eric has advanced training in skin cancer detection, biopsy and removal an ultrasound guided joint injections
